Process Engineer
Position Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. This role works closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to evaluate and improve process performance, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with operations teams to improve production rates, quality metrics, yields, reliability, and cost performance.
- Support the development, implementation, and startup of capital and process improvement projects.
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams focused on continuous improvement and operational performance.
- Assist with planning and execution of equipment outages, shutdowns, and startup activities.
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate key operating and quality performance indicators.
- Coordinate and execute process trials involving new equipment, materials, operating procedures, technologies, and process conditions.
- Develop, maintain, and improve process documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Utilize manufacturing and data management systems to support process monitoring, analysis, and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, quality, and productivity through data-driven problem solving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process-driven environment preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and engineering or manufacturing software tools.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support business needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and industrial manufacturing environments.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands.
- Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around operating machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Must be able to safely navigate industrial environments, including elevated work areas when required.
Work Environment
