Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet rigorous quality standards through precise inspection and adherence to regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help maintain our reputation for excellence in high-precision manufacturing processes.
Duties
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to verify product compliance
- Perform quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations to ensure adherence to industry standards
- Utilize calibration procedures for measuring instruments and ensure all tools are within calibration limits for accurate measurements
- Collect data on product quality during production runs and document findings accurately for traceability and analysis
- Identify non-conformances or deviations from quality standards in production and communicate issues promptly to production teams for corrective action
- Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory/legal standards in production environments
Skills
- Strong knowledge of quality systems including QA/QC processes, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance such as FDA regulations and ISO 13485 for medical devices
- Proficiency with measurement tools including height gauges, dial indicators, calipers, GMMs, vision inspection systems, and other precision measuring instruments
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documentation accurately
- Experience performing quality audits and implementing quality assurance procedures within manufacturing settings
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for precise dimensional measurements
- Ability to analyze data effectively and identify trends or issues impacting product quality
- Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent communication skills to report findings clearly and efficiently
