Who We Are
Century Roll is a growing metal fabrication and rolling shop. We build precision steel parts fast, built right, and built to last. We're investing in better systems, stronger leadership, and higher performance—and we're looking for a Shop Manager to take full ownership of daily shop execution.
The Role
This is the #1 leader on the shop floor. You will own daily production execution, scheduling, labor allocation, lead accountability, safety, quality discipline, and throughput. This role reports directly to ownership and has real authority to build a high-performing shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily production scheduling and manpower assignment across fabrication, rolling, and metal processing
- Lead and hold department leads accountable for output, quality, safety, and performance
- Run daily production meetings and communicate priorities clearly
- Enforce shop standards: weld quality, print control, material traceability, housekeeping, and safety
- Reduce rework, scrap, missed deadlines, and production downtime
- Build repeatable systems: workflow, training expectations, and standard work where needed
- Coordinate with Project Management and Inside Sales to support on-time delivery and customer expectations
- Track and report key production metrics weekly

Requirements
- 5 years of shop leadership experience in a job shop fabrication / welding environment
- Proven ability to build and run daily schedules and allocate labor
- Strong knowledge of welding/fabrication processes, prints, tolerances, and shop workflow
- Comfortable leading teams, holding people accountable, and driving performance
- Strong communication and ability to solve problems quickly
- Must be reliable and able to start at 6:00 AM and work most Saturdays
Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000 – $100,000 salary (based on experience)
- Opportunity for performance-based increases after 90 days
