Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Commercial Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the freight throughout the transportation process.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles.
- Drive routes as assigned, ensuring timely delivery of freight to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo safely.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and route driving best practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
