What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Century Mold Co?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner by getting along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers, and all other employees.Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.
- Must adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
- Attendance/punctuality: is consistently at work and on time.
- Selects products at specified intervals and performs dimensional measurements utilizing micrometers, calipers, RAM, optical and profilometer as defined on QCP and monitor sheet.
- Basic interpretation of QCP and engineering drawings, and interpretation of GD&T.
- Record and evaluate inspection data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Complete non-conforming material report and place product on hold where necessary.
- Inform appropriate personnel of all quality problems.
- Signs off product on production floor.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ANSTAT software; GD&T; SPC and Variation; Ability to learn new software as needed.
