Shift: 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM

Location: Balzano Dr. Johnstown, NY

2-Person Night Operation

Position Overview

We are looking for a disciplined and detail-oriented Night Shift Industrial Janitor to join our facility team. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring that the building and machinery are sanitized and ready for the morning production start. We are looking for a professional who enjoys working in a focused, quiet environment and takes pride in maintaining a facility under high standards. Candidates will work as part of a small, dedicated two-person team.

Key Responsibilities

This role combines traditional housekeeping with technical industrial sanitation:

• Machine & Building "Blow Down": Utilize compressed air to clear dust and debris from rafters, structural components, and production machinery.
• Belt Sterilization: Perform precision cleaning and sterilization of industrial belts to maintain hygiene and operational standards.
• High-Access Maintenance: Safely operate a scissor lift to reach elevated areas for deep-cleaning tasks.
• Facility Readiness: Ensure all common areas, restrooms, and production floors are cleaned and stocked for the incoming day shift.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) when working around machinery.

Qualifications & Skills

• Professional Reliability: A proven track record of consistent attendance and the ability to manage a nightly workflow independently.
• Equipment Experience: Prior experience operating a scissor lift or a willingness to be trained and certified.
• Industrial Comfort: Ability to work around large manufacturing equipment and use industrial cleaning tools (compressed air, sanitation chemicals).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, climb ladders.
