Job Title: Property Damage Specialist
Department: Pre-Litigation
Position Summary
The Property Damage Specialist supports the Case Management team by handling all aspects of property damage claims arising from personal injury auto accident cases. This role focuses on investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving vehicle property damage claims while ensuring compliance with California insurance laws and firm procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate auto property damage claims, including review of police reports, photographs, repair estimates, and total loss documentation.
- Open and manage property damage claims with insurance carriers from intake through resolution.
- Analyze insurance policies to determine coverage, liability, limits, and deductibles.
- Evaluate repair estimates, total loss values, rental reimbursement, and related damages.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding claim status and next steps in a clear and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and detailed claim records within the case management system.
- Coordinate closely with Case Managers to ensure property damage resolution aligns with the personal injury claim.
- Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to resolve complex or disputed claims.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Property Damage Specialist, or in California personal injury law.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
- Strong understanding of California insurance laws and claims handling standards.
- Excellent time management, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with case management software.
- CasePeer experience is a plus, but not required.
