The role of Territory Sales Manager is vital in supporting our mission and achieving our goals. In this position, your primary responsibility will be to oversee sales efficiencies within a specific geographic area, developing strategies and achieving established goals, while also building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Processing transactions for air conditioning and heating products and supplies to current and prospective HVAC contractors, while also engaging potential clients. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Acquire new clients and maintain current customers in alignment with the sales objectives established with Management
- Offer support to customers concerning sales, order management, and the resolution of problems or complaints
- Inform customers about new products, services, updates, and promotional offers
- Attend sales meetings and provide the necessary weekly and monthly reports
- Participate in industry and association meetings plus events, serving as a representative of the company.
- Establish collaborative relationships with customers in the territory, including owners, managers, and technicians
- Utilize your understanding of fundamental air conditioning and heating principles to effectively support customers with their product requirements and issues
- Monitor and analyze sales performance identify area for improvement and implement strategies to increase sales.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Travel within your territory to meet with clients and conduct business.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or College degree preferred.
- Basic understanding of air conditioning and heating knowledge is a plus.
- 1 – 2 years sales experience is REQUIRED.
- The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize daily task.
- Strong computer skills Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, division, multiplication and subtraction).
- Proficiency in comprehending guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges and opportunities. The ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs is essential.
- The ability to negotiate deals and build strong relationships with clients is important.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Strong time-management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory
- Strong leadership and coaching skills to guide and develop sales teams.
