What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator (Home Care) position at Century Homecare LLC?
Do you enjoy coordinating activities? Do you have an eye for detail and have a propensity for working with and helping people? As a scheduling coordinator, you are responsible for accurately matching employees with patients in an accurate and timely manner and managing ongoing client needs and employee issues like call outs and schedule changes while ensuring patient care is not compromised.
Your role will involve taking incoming referrals and establishing the best employee to match these with, ensuring patient visits are scheduled as ordered/needed to ensure continuity of care. You will be tasked with accurately inputting patient and employee schedule information in the EMR system in a timely manner. Communicating schedule changes constantly with case managers and nurses in the field, addressing any complaints or concerns that come up and ensuring all visits are covered appropriately at all times.
This is a fast paced role that requires attention to detail while coordinating different moving pieces in a calm and professional manner. It also involves some weekend/holiday coverage.
The successful candidate should be a High School graduate with at-least one year scheduling experience in a health care setting (preferably in a home care agency setting). He/she must possess excellent communication/interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Must be self-directed, work effectively as part of a team and have great time management skills.
