Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.
Job responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts during monthly and quarterly close processes.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with established accounting policies.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data for reporting purposes.
Assist in preparing and distributing financial statements and variance analyses.
Support audits, budgeting activities, and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3 years of progressive accounting experience within a similar role.
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Solomon or FAS.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate expertise in general ledger management and financial reporting.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and resolve issues proactively.
Prior experience with multi-unit operations and advanced problem-solving capabilities.
