What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cushion Filler position at Century Furniture?
Summary:
This position is responsible for filling cushions and preparing them for upholstered units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Places cushion cases on proper filler
- Fills cushions using a machine and/or regulates cushion by hand
- Fills pillows with appropriate fill matching to jobs
- Cuts seat, black bottom and kits to each job for upholster
- Maintains work environment and machinery in an orderly manner
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
- All other duties assigned
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred

- Must be able to stand continuously throughout shift with intermittent sitting, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting
- Must be able to grasp filler material and cushion while filling; repetitive use of hand
- Repetitive use of foot to operation machine controls
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
