What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Century Foods International?
SUMMARY OF ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The purpose of this position is to provide full accounting support to the business around Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales Revenue & General Accounting.
- Verify weekly sales and margins and distribute reports weekly to management.
- Review, monitor and resolve customer claims.
- Generate invoices to customers.
- Investigate all variances between our book and physical inventory. Resolve the issues independently or with guidance from the Cost Lead.
- Execute month-end responsibilities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and generation of monthly financial reports.
- Assist customers, sales staff, accounting, and plant personnel with reports and business questions.
- Provide support for projects and special requests as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A two-year degree in accounting or related field or more than 2 years of experience in related accounting discipline to include knowledge of accounting principles, revenue, cost of goods, customer claims, inventory management, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Disciplined, organized, forward thinking and self-motivated.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented with outstanding follow through. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience running reports and trouble shooting from various systems to get desired result.
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Rate of pay: Non Exempt - 7 ($19.00-$26.75)
Hours - 7am - 4pm Monday- Friday
