We are seeking a reliable and communication‑focused Truck Dispatcher to support daily transportation operations. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to stay organized in a fast‑paced environment, and a professional approach to working with drivers, customers, and internal team members.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily dispatch operations for company and/or owner‑operator drivers
- Assign loads and routes to drivers based on delivery schedules, equipment availability, and Hours‑of‑Service requirements
- Monitor driver progress using GPS and telematics systems
- Communicate pickup and delivery instructions clearly and professionally
- Resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and service disruptions in real time
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, load documentation, and status updates
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and customer requirements
- Collaborate with operations, billing, and customer service teams
- Track on‑time performance and report operational metrics as required
Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple drivers and loads simultaneously
- Proficiency with dispatch software, TMS platforms, and GPS tracking systems
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
