Audio Visual Manager

FUNCTION:

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Audio-Visual Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Organize and co-ordinate the day-to-day audiovisual operations for conventions, banquets, and special events.
2. Organize and co-ordinate the day-to-day electronics operations for repair, Surveillance, Bingo, Keno, and hotel guest room maintenance, including service, preventative maintenance, and new installations.
3. Review all Nugget convention and banquet contracts for AV and technical requirements. (Submit audiovisual quotes when necessary)
4. Maintain and schedule the necessary audiovisual equipment inventory to facilitate all conventions, banquets, and the special event needs.
5. Hire, coach, and train new and existing AV team members in all areas of the AV department to ensure maximum performance. 
6. Schedule AV team members to perform work as required to facilitate conventions, banquets, and special events, to ensure guest satisfaction. 
7. Write and deliver performance evaluations, counseling notices and other team member documentation as required.
8. Resolve all convention and banquet technical problems and customer complaints, when necessary, seek assistance from other Nugget Management as needed. 
9. Attend required Convention, Banquet and Special Event pre-cons and other necessary Nugget meetings. 
10. Process Convention, Banquets, and Special Event AV billing, forward to the appropriate department for final processing. 
11. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests. 
12. Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
13. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
14. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike. 
15. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager. 
16. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
17. Regular predictable attendance is required.
18. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language. 

EXPERIENCE:  

Minimum five (5) years industry experience

Minimum two (2) years Management experience

PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.

Fine finger manipulation. 

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
