STAFF - BELLHOP

Welcomes all guests to the casino and assists guests with luggage to and from their vehicles as well as to their hotel room.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Greets all guests of the hotel/casino.

1. Assists guests with luggage, to and from vehicles as well as to and from hotel rooms.
2. When assisting guests to room, informs guest of the hotel’s facilities and hours of operation.
3. Issues luggage claim tag and stores luggage in bell closet when necessary.
4. Responds to guest inquiries and directs guests around the hotel.
5. Explains proper use of keys system and ensures the guests' satisfaction with their room.
6. Accurately gives directions, information, and recommendations.
7. Ensures organization and cleanliness of all work areas.
8. Complies with all reasonable requests made by management.

1. All other duties as assigned.

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Manager of Guest Experience then to the Director of Resort Operations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. Must be able to read and write to ensure proper and accurate luggage claim tickets. 
• The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner. 
• You will need to be available to work all shifts. 
• You must be at least 18 years old. 
• You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.  
• Must be able to lift and transport luggage using correct and safe baggage handling procedures and a bell cart when necessary. Uses proper cart handling techniques when using a bell cart.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
