Maintenance Worker

Salary Range: $15.00 to 18.00
Shift: Day shift available
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, to perform various routine-to-skilled general and preventive maintenance duties in the repair, alteration, and modification of buildings, equipment, and facilities.
House Policies and Procedures and the Colorado Division of Gaming Rules and Regulations.
- Performs daily manual duties as required, including painting, wallpapering, and drywall repair. Light bulbs – check outside and inside lights every day. Always use the same wattage bulb as the one you are replacing.
- Thermostats – check 3 times a day. Fan always in position, cool 73 degrees, winter, same unless extremely cold. See the thermostat memo.
- Snow removal – remove snow from public areas, sidewalks, stairs, alleys, parking areas, and employee areas. Ability to use the ATV for snow removal.
- Minor electrical and plumbing – never work on live circuits. Follow all safety procedures. Must be able to trace pipes, fix toilets, and unclog drains.
- Customer safety concerns – must keep all areas free from ladders and any debris that may pose a threat to the safety of the customers or employees.
- Boilers/water heaters – check all boilers and water heaters daily. Pilot lights, air in lines, gas valves, etc.
- Air conditioning/heating – check that all a/c and heating units are functioning properly. Two-stage cooling/two-stage heating. Changing HVAC filters.
- Carpentry/painting/drywall repair – knowledge of all safety procedures concerning the use of all power tools and chemicals.
- Storage maintenance – keeping all storage units clean and orderly to better access materials.
- Interaction with contractors – making sure contractors act with Century best interest in mind; also scheduling.
- Processing for outside materials – making sure we have light bulbs, sandpaper, paint thinner, etc., (these materials can be obtained from our local ACE Hardware store).
- Interdepartmental scheduling – making sure all affected departments are aware of any contractor activity.
- Tool inventory and maintenance – make sure all tools and materials are accounted for.
- Maintenance of shop areas – make sure that the shop is always clean and neat; always clean up after yourself or any jobs you do.
- Maintain alleys, sidewalks, and parking lots – these areas must be free of trash or any debris that would impede customers or employees.
- Preventative maintenance as required – must understand the importance of preventative maintenance on certain equipment.
- Must demonstrate a willingness to learn additional maintenance skills.
- Add new chemicals to the SDS log.
- Establishes and maintains courteous, cooperative relations when interacting with other personnel and the public.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Attendance: reports on working as scheduled, on time, and ready to work.
