JOB TITLE: HVAC Laborer
FLSA: Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Facilities
REPORTS TO: Lodgeside Facilities Manager
SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities include lubricating supply and return motors and blowers, replacing and maintaining belts, replacing air filters and cleaning condenser and evaporator coils. This role will also involve routine cleaning of kitchen equipment and coils, as well as assisting HVAC technicians with various labor tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Grease/lubricate HVAC motors and blowers
- Replace and maintain belts on HVAC equipment
- Replace air filters
- Clean condenser and evaporator coils
- Perform general labor in support of HVAC technicians
- Clean kitchen equipment and coils regularly
- Stock miscellaneous HVAC parts and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, vehicles, and storage spaces
- Stocking of parts and supplies, maintaining cleanliness at job sites, within vehicles, and the shop area.
- All other duties assigned
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Lodgeside Facilities Manager then to the Director of Property Management
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment for the task
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- Ability to recognize/remedy safety concerns and utilize all personal protective equipment as required.
- Time management & priority setting and work independently.
- Troubleshooting & problem solving
- Basic knowledge of tools and HVAC equipment
- Knowledge on how to but not limited to the operation of scissor lifts, forklift, ladders, hand/power tools, etc.
- You must be at least 21 years old
- Obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to be covered under Mountaineer Casino Insurance for driving our vehicles.
- You must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- HVAC experience is helpful but not necessary.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
