What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Cook - Assisted Living Facility position at Century Assisted Living?
Century Assisted Living is looking for a Dietary Cook. Food Managers License is required. Our facility makes home cooked meals so past experience with cooking is a must.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and recipes
- Ensure that all meals are prepared in a sanitary and safe manner
- Assist with meal planning and portion control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the dietary department
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food production setting preferred
- Familiarity with meal preparation and food handling techniques
- Knowledge of dietary requirements for assisted living or nursing home residents is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Skills:
- Strong cooking skills and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
