Traveling Superintendent

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations from project startup through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and progress.
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and daily planning sessions.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, building codes, and company standards.
• Identify and proactively resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site logs, and project documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and third-party agencies.
• Review and manage punch list activities and project closeout requirements.
• Assist with project turnover, owner training, and warranty documentation.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Safety Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site inspections.
• Ensure all subcontractors maintain compliance with project-specific safety plans.
• Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Maintain a culture where safety remains the highest project priority.
