Mobile Patrol/ Static Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Utah County
Pay Rate: $18.00 Per Hour
Minimum Shift Requirements:
- Weekly Minimum: 25 hours
- Required Availability: Open between 4:00 PM and 4:00 AM, with preference for as many nights per week as possible.
- Shift Length: Typically 6 to 9 hours
- Additional Hours: Open availability will allow for up to 36–40 hours per week, with extra shifts available in Salt Lake County.
Please note: More open/flexible availability preferred
Under the direction and supervision of the On- Site Manager a Mobile Security Officer will ensure the safety of the patrol area assigned.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patrol Duties: Perform site specific mobile or static patrols of assigned areas, including both interior and exterior locations. Operate independently or as part of a team. Using reporting systems to document incidents, complete guard tours, and communicate in real time with supervisors, admin and emergency services any suspicious activities, policy violations or unauthorized personnel. Ensuring a visible presence to deter unauthorized activities and to monitor any potential security or safety concerns.
- Incident reporting: Communicate all incidents clearly, comprehensively, and accurately to managers, admin and if necessary emergency services. Including writing incident reports and daily activity logs, ensuring proper documentation of observations and actions taken in accordance with company policies and client expectations.
- Public Interaction: Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public, employees, clients and visitors, providing assistance and directions as needed.
- Enforce Site Rules and Regulations: Enforce site-specific rules and regulations, including observing, identifying and investigating suspicious activities or individuals. This includes safely approaching or interacting with individuals violating site policies or engaging in unauthorized behavior in a calm and professional manner.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, including fires, or security breaches, by following established procedures and coordinating with emergency responders.
- Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies as necessary to report criminal activity or to support investigations.
- Chain of Command: Officers are expected to respect, listen to, and follow the ongoing directions of supervisors, managers, and administrative personnel.
- Any other tasks assigned by managers or other members of the administrative team.

Requirements:
- MUST have a clean driving record with no tickets or citations. For insurance and safety purposes. Note: Driving records will be verified during the background screening process in accordance with applicable laws.
- MUST have Valid Driver's License.
- MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States and be able to provide documentation that meets federal I-9 verification standards.
- Must have a physical, Social Security card (not a copy or photo)- required to complete federal background screening procedures.
- MUST have or be able to obtain a clean FBI criminal Background.
- MUST be neat, clean, and have a professional appearance and demeanor.
- MUST have reliable transportation to the assigned job site in Orem, UT. Or Salt Lake if requesting more than 24 hours. (Job sites may be located in areas not accessible via public transportation.)
- MUST already have or be willing to obtain a valid Utah State Unarmed Security License/Guard Card through the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL).
- Note: Employees without this credential will be expected to pay the initial cost of the license ($29 training course fee, $95 application fee, and additional fees associated with fingerprinting and opting in to receive the interim license).
- MUST be willing and able to obtain an additional federally issued security clearance badge at no extra cost to you.
- MUST have a valid Driver’s license and one additional valid government-issued ID (e.g. social security card, passport, birth certificate).
- Note: To fulfill federal badging requirements anyone born outside the United States will be required to provide a valid passport.
- MUST be available to work for a minimum of 8-hour shift periods.
- MUST be able to work at least 24 hours per week during minimum outlined hours and have flexibility to easily accommodate additional hours if requested.
- MUST be willing and able to perform duties in active construction zones, around moving equipment, uneven surfaces, and variable terrain.
- MUST be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow and wind, while maintaining alertness and professional presence.
- MUST be physically capable of walking, standing, and navigating stairs or uneven terrain.
- MUST be physically capable of handling high-intensity or physically demanding situations when necessary.
- MUST be able to accommodate a dynamic and changing monthly schedule. With shift times and days subject to change based on operational needs.
- Note: All schedules are based on site needs and may change with advance notice in accordance with labor regulations. Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is strongly preferred.

- Duty Execution: Officers are responsible for carrying out all assigned duties and post orders with professionalism, vigilance, and consistency throughout the duration of their shift.
- Communication Standards: Officers must demonstrate clear, respectful, and professional communication with administrative staff, supervisors, clients, and members of the public at all times. This includes using appropriate language and ensuring the prompt and accurate relay of critical information and updates.
- Report Writing: Officers are expected to complete clear, comprehensive, and accurate incident and activity reports, using proper grammar, correct spelling, and detailed documentation of all observations, actions taken, and relevant events that occur during their shift.
- Company Representation: Officers are expected to act in the best interest of the Company at all times, reflecting the values and mission of the organization.
- Confidentiality: Officers are expected to maintain strict confidentiality regarding any security-related, client, or company information encountered during the course of their duties.
