Sub-Driver for Medical Courier Routes

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Sub-Driver to join our medical courier team, specializing in route deliveries of sensitive medical supplies and specimens. Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, securing, and unloading medical supplies using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts.
• Drive a box truck or van along designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Support the primary driver in route navigation, delivery, and customer interactions to ensure prompt service.
• Handle manual transmission vehicles with skill, maintaining safe driving practices at all times.
• Ensure proper documentation of deliveries using mobile devices or electronic logging systems, including delivery receipts and route logs.
• Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and vehicle safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance checks on the vehicle to ensure operational safety and compliance.

Experience

• Previous experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred, especially within healthcare or warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or carts.
• Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling practices required for loading/unloading cargo safely.
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, including DOT standards for weight limits and hours of service.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a box truck or van with manual transmission is highly desirable.
• Customer service experience that emphasizes professionalism, punctuality, and clear communication during deliveries.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety.
