Centurion is proud to be the provider of medical and mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to join our Florida Team. This position will be based on-site, at a facility, providing video remote services
The Sign Language Interpreter is responsible for conducting psychological and medical interpretation to staff and patients across the state to include individual therapy, group therapy, and a variety of psychological and medical assessment appointments. The Sign Language Interpreter translates questions, requests, and/or statements clearly and accurately, attending to and conveying tone, intention, nuance, etc., assesses patients and monitors them to ensure they understand information being conveyed, assists the company with written and oral communication as needed, submits translations to appropriate management for review as needed, and relay pertinent cultural issues and considerations to professionals.
Qualifications
- ASL certification is required
- Bilingual preferred
- Requires both onsite and remote work
- Ability to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance required
Available Shift: 8AM-4:30PM; Monday-Friday
