We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team at Miami Correctional Facility located in Bunker Hill, Indiana.
The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab test, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.
Qualifications:- Current Indiana Medical Assistant license/certification
- Current CPR
- Corrections experience preferred, not required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available Shift:
- Full-time days 7am-7:30pm, every other weekend
