Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison (GDCP) in Jackson, Georgia.

Schedule:
Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation:
Starting at $24-$26 an hour | based on experience

Qualifications:Position Overview:
The Healthcare Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of a high-volume correctional healthcare environment. This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Managing complex scheduling and coordination for clinical and leadership staff

Preparing and maintaining accurate reports, spreadsheets, and documentation

Supporting onboarding and administrative tracking for staff and contractors

Maintaining organized electronic and paper filing systems

Drafting professional correspondence and internal communications

Serving as a key point of contact for administrative inquiries within behavioral health services

Ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding items and operational needs
Qualifications:

Required: Associate or bachelor’s degree in health services management, health care administration, or a related healthcare field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or healthcare setting

At least 2 years of administrative support experience in a fast-paced environment

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook required)
