Position Summary
The Low Voltage Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and supporting all low voltage service, repair, and troubleshooting activities, including:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV/Video Surveillance
- Intrusion Detection Systems
- Other Low Voltage Technologies
This individual will work closely with customers, technicians, and management to ensure service requests are completed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Dispatching
- Schedule service calls, troubleshooting visits, repairs, and emergency response requests.
- Prioritize service work based on urgency, technician skill set, customer needs, and geographic efficiency.
- Adjust schedules proactively to accommodate emergencies, delays, and changing customer requirements.
- Ensure technicians have all required documentation, access information, and job details before dispatch.
Customer Communication & Service Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers.
- Communicate scheduling updates, timelines, and service expectations professionally and promptly.
- Follow up on open work orders, deficiencies, pending repairs, and service quotes.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsiveness and reliability.
Work Orders, Documentation & Billing Support
- Create, update, and close service work orders accurately.
- Ensure technician time, material usage, notes, and system deficiencies are properly documented.
- Support invoicing and billing processes by ensuring documentation is submitted promptly.
- Track deficiencies and coordinate repair recommendations with customers and technicians.
Technician Support & Operational Coordination
- Provide technicians with drawings, service histories, programming notes, and project information.
- Coordinate with installation, service, and other department teams as needed.
- Assist with material ordering, parts tracking, and delivery coordination.
- Help maintain efficient workflows that maximize productivity and reduce downtime.
Department Reporting & Organization
- Maintain accurate schedules, calendars, service logs, and customer records.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including response times, completion rates, and open deficiencies.
- Support weekly planning meetings and scheduling reviews.
- Ensure all service activities align with Centurion's standards for quality, professionalism, and customer service.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–5 years of experience in service coordination, dispatching, scheduling, or administrative support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience with scheduling software, CRM systems, or service management platforms.
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and digital documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Experience in the low voltage, fire protection, security, electrical, or construction industry.
- Familiarity with fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, or related systems.
- Ability to read service reports, deficiency lists, and basic technical documentation.
