Key Responsibilities
- Unload bulk cement and other materials from pneumatic railcars into silos.
- Load pneumatic trailers and trucks from silos and railcars.
- Operate or learn to operate railcar loading and unloading equipment, hoses, pumps, conveyors, and related tools.
- Inspect inbound and outbound railcars before and after loading or unloading.
- Prepare and manage load schedules for the next day.
- Enter customer orders and railcar shipments into inventory systems accurately.
- Verify inventory and shipment details before truck and railcar arrivals.
- Email or process Bills of Lading and other shipment paperwork as required.
- Assist drivers, customers, and team members with load-related needs.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized terminal.
- Perform general facility duties such as cleanup, light maintenance, painting, and landscape upkeep.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
- Comfortable learning equipment and terminal operating procedures.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills with coworkers, drivers, and customers.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Willing to travel to other terminals when needed.
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Able to climb ladders and get on and off railcars safely.
- Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Able to walk long distances throughout the yard during a shift.
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work around heavy equipment.
