SUMMARY
Manage and perform accounting duties for multiple real estate entities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitor all payables and receivables
- Prepare lender draws and coordinate with lender funding
- Work with Project Managers to coordinate contractor payments
- Manage cash accounts, including petty cash
- Prepare financials and journal entries
- Prepare lot closing instructions & review and approve all sales/closing documents
- Maintain reports on lot takedowns Lot Status, Siger Tax, Quarterly Takedown & Builder takedown reports, for example and record all takedowns in accounting software (Premier)
- Monitor all loan maturity dates and principal payment requirements
COMPETENCY
- Knowledge - Must be proficient with Excel, accounting software, and other database programs; must have knowledge of accounting principles and real estate sales/closing procedures
- Skills & Abilities Must be able to meet strict deadlines, work well under pressure, and be able to complete work in accurate & timely manner with little oversight
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years Accounting experience required; 5 years in Accounting -with construction/development specifically strongly preferred
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Financial Accounting required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to pass criminal background check & pre-employment drug screen
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment, low noise level, mild temperature settings;
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, typing, and viewing computer screen for extended period of time; motions required for filing in cabinets up to 6 feet tall; some bending and light lifting may be necessary;
WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
