Limited Scope Radiologic Technician Program Coordinator – Centura College
Location: Centura College Chesapeake Campus
Compensation: up to $34/hour
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8:00am to 6:00pm
**Occasional evening availability is required to support night instructors and students, with schedule flexibility to teach an evening class as needed. A small number of trainings or events may take place on Fridays or Saturdays annually.**
About the Role
This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Limited Scope Radiologic Technology program, including supervision of daily operations.
Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Limited Scope Radiologic Technology program, including daily operations and instructional delivery.
- Teach assigned courses and serve as a substitute instructor as needed.
- Schedule classes, assign instructional staff, and secure qualified substitute instructors when necessary.
- Lead and participate in faculty meetings, trainings, seminars, and departmental meetings.
- Advise students on academic, attendance, and behavioral matters; monitor GPA and Rates of Progress; support and document interventions for at-risk students.
- Support student learning by facilitating the application of didactic instruction to practical and clinical experiences.
- Address student grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Education, accrediting agencies, and all applicable to federal, state, and local regulations, including Virginia Department of Medicine requirements.
- Assist with curriculum development and audit instructional materials to ensure current and approved usage.
- Participate in employee onboarding and mentoring to support a positive institutional culture.
- Perform additional duties assigned by campus leadership.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises all Limited Scope Radiologic Technology faculty and staff.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of three (3) years of related practical work experience.
- Demonstrated, current knowledge of subject matter with ongoing professional development.
- Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Customer service–oriented mindset in an educational setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends as required.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- ARRT certification required.
- State accreditation, as applicable.
