Job Summary

The Emergency Room Clinical Manager is responsible for providing leadership and overseeing the management of clinical operations within the Emergency Department. This role ensures high-quality patient care delivery across the continuum of emergency services while upholding organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the clinical service area.
• Ensure high standards of patient care and service quality.
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Oversee hiring, orientation, training, evaluation, and professional development of department staff.
• Implement and evaluate policies and procedures that define the scope and quality of services.
• Handle employee relations including disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Foster communication between departmental and organizational leadership.
• Act as a clinical resource and support to staff and other departments.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last year) acute care Emergency Department experience in a charge RN or leadership role.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Current state RN license.
• Certification Requirements (must be obtained within specified timeframes of employment start date):
• Basic Life Support (BLS): within 30 days
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): within 90 days
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC): within 1 year
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): within 1 year
