- Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
- Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
The Emergency Room Clinical Manager is responsible for providing leadership and overseeing the management of clinical operations within the Emergency Department. This role ensures high-quality patient care delivery across the continuum of emergency services while upholding organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the clinical service area.
- Ensure high standards of patient care and service quality.
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Oversee hiring, orientation, training, evaluation, and professional development of department staff.
- Implement and evaluate policies and procedures that define the scope and quality of services.
- Handle employee relations including disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Foster communication between departmental and organizational leadership.
- Act as a clinical resource and support to staff and other departments.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last year) acute care Emergency Department experience in a charge RN or leadership role.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Current state RN license.
- Certification Requirements (must be obtained within specified timeframes of employment start date):
- Basic Life Support (BLS): within 30 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): within 90 days
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC): within 1 year
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): within 1 year
