Job Description

As a Registered Nurse - Dialysis (PRN), you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments. You will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering dialysis, and working closely with a healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position is PRN, meaning you will be called in as needed to fill open shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments to monitor for complications and adjust care plans as needed.
• Dialysis Administration: Operate and monitor dialysis machines, adjust settings based on patient needs, and ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about the dialysis process, infection control, medication, and post-care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, dialysis treatments, and responses to care.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, dialysis technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care is managed efficiently and effectively.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner, providing critical care when needed.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Education: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Hawaii.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dialysis nursing.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
