Location: Utica, NY, 13502

Duration: 13-week Contract

Shift: 12-hr Night Shift | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Weekly Pay: $2,232 - $2,412; Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Emergency Department RN for a night shift position in a fast-paced hospital setting in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent experience in a high-volume ED, including care for pediatric patients. The RN must demonstrate sound clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in high-stress environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting with a variety of acute medical conditions and trauma
• Collaborate with physicians, other RNs, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality care
• Administer medications, perform interventions, and provide emergency support
• Accurately document patient care in the EPIC EMR system
• Comply with hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
• Float to other units as needed within scope of practice
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED experience with recent pediatric exposure
• Licensure: Active New York RN License (and all other active RN licenses documented)
• Certifications (Current & Required):
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• AHA PALS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR system (required).
• Strong clinical skills, adaptability, and excellent communication.
