The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients. As a PRN position, you will work on an as-needed basis, with various shifts available.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitoring Vital Signs: Take and record patients' temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs as directed by the nursing staff.
- Assist in Mobility: Help patients with walking, positioning, and transferring from beds to wheelchairs, etc.
- Observation & Reporting: Report changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff or healthcare providers.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean and orderly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records as per facility standards.
- Support Nurses: Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and treatments as necessary.
- Current CNA certification in the state of Georgia
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and team members
- Ability to lift and transfer patients (assistance available when needed)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies calmly
- Must be able to work flexible hours (day, evenings and nights)
