Registered Nurse-Operating Room
Location: Herrin, Illinois
Pay Rate: $60/hr $63/hr
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM 6:30 PM; call required
Experience: Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Operating Room for a day shift opportunity in Herrin, Illinois. This role is ideal for an OR RN with strong surgical experience who can support high-volume procedures, including orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic cases.
Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room
Support heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical team
Monitor patient condition and report clinical changes appropriately
Provide patient and family education as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and patient safety standards
Participate in call coverage, including weeknight and weekend call
Float to other facilities if needed
Requirements
Active Illinois Registered Nurse license required
Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience required
BLS/BCLS required
ACLS preferred/required per unit needs
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills required
Must be able to work 10-hour day shifts and call coverage
Weekend call required, including 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month
Flexibility required based on department needs
