Medical Laboratory Technician
Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Pay Rate: $1400 To $1600 / week
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Days

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week day shift assignment in Carbondale, Illinois. This role is ideal for a strong lab generalist with phlebotomy experience and solid EPIC proficiency.
Responsibilities
Perform generalist laboratory testing across clinical lab departments
Collect, process, and receive blood, urine, fecal, body fluid, and other specimens
Perform phlebotomy as part of daily lab duties
Analyze quality control data and take corrective action as needed
Recognize abnormal or unexpected results and troubleshoot issues
Review instrument indicators and temperature monitors
Answer inquiries related to test results, methodology, and result factors
Support laboratory procedures, compliance, and quality standards
Requirements
Active Illinois license or applicable state credential required
Minimum 2 years of Medical Laboratory Technician experience required
Strong EPIC experience required
Lab generalist experience required
Phlebotomy experience required
CLS, MT, ASCP, or equivalent certification preferred/required per facility standards
Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree accepted for grandfathered personnel
Experience with Abbott Alinity, ACL Tops 350, Gene Expert, Beckman Coulter, Torch, or Clinitek preferred
Ability to take possible call if needed preferred
