• Pay Rate: $12 - $17/hr; (Negotiable based on experience)
• Shift: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Job Summary:

The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) provides care and support to elderly residents. The GNA helps with daily activities, monitors residents' well-being, and ensures they are safe and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental conditions to the nursing staff.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake, and output as directed.
• Maintain residents' rooms in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Support residents' independence and well-being by encouraging participation in daily activities.
• Adhere to infection control and safety policies at all times.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing supervisor or charge nurse.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
