About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Staff Educator – Surgery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate nursing professional who enjoys mentoring clinical staff, developing educational programs, and promoting excellence in perioperative patient care. You'll play a key role in advancing clinical competency, supporting quality initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Responsibilities• Develop, coordinate, and deliver clinical education and training programs for nursing and surgical staff
• Design and evaluate educational materials, competency assessments, and simulation-based learning activities
• Mentor and support staff through orientation, skills validation, and ongoing professional development
• Collaborate with department leaders and quality teams to identify educational needs and improve clinical outcomes
• Maintain accurate education records while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
Requirements• Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 5 years of hospital nursing experience with 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CNOR certifications required
• Previous education, staff development, or simulation training experience preferred
