Pay Rate: $50.00 to $53.00/hr
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Experience: Minimum 2 years required

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Flex Pool Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in Hilo, Hawaii. This role floats between various medical and surgical units and requires strong Med/Surg and Step Down nursing skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt quickly to different patient care environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care across assigned medical and surgical units.

• Float between Medical Unit, Laulima Surgical Acute Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit as needed.

• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and response to care.

• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as ordered.

• Support patients with wound vacs, chest tubes, and related care needs.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.

• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC/Meditech as assigned.

• Follow facility protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices.

• Support night shift coverage based on facility needs.

Requirements

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license required by assignment start.

• Travelers without an active Hawaii license must apply upon offer acceptance.

• BLS/BCLS certification required.

• ACLS certification required.

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.

• Med/Surg and Step Down experience preferred.

• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC preferred.

• Must be able to float between assigned units.

• Must arrive the Thursday before start for Friday employee health appointment.

• Holiday coverage required.

• Medical and religious exemption requests are not accepted in place of documented proof of immunity.
