Director Emergency Services- RN (Permanent Role)Location: Richmond, VA, 23201Shift: Variable ShiftGuaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and address actual and potential issues affecting emergency services; implement solutions with proper communication and follow-up.Participate in departmental, hospital-wide, and service committees; maintain open communication with represented parties.Drive initiatives that enhance the patient experience within the Emergency Department.Coach and mentor staff, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development through individualized development plans.Enforce and comply with all HR policies and procedures.Communicate effectively across teams and leadership to share departmental, organizational, and industry updates.Promote a culture of employee engagement using evidence-based practices.Build strong relationships across departments to achieve organizational goals.Conduct regular staff and patient rounding; identify and nurture future leaders.Develop and enforce standards for emergency care and ensure compliance through measurable processes.Design, implement, and assess a continuous quality improvement program aligned with the hospital’s mission.Monitor compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements for patient care, safety, and staff practices.Required Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) – RequiredMaster’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field – PreferredExperience:Minimum of 3 years in Emergency Services – Required3 years in a leadership or management role – Preferred (or equivalent combination of education/experience)Licenses & Certifications:Active RN license in the state of Virginia (or eligible to obtain) – RequiredACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)—RequiredPALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course)—RequiredBLS (Basic Life Support)—RequiredInterested candidates are encouraged to apply with an updated resume.Our recruitment team will reach out within 24 hours.Apply Now!
