Job Summary:
Are you driven by leading large, complex manufacturing programs that directly support America’s clean-energy and national-security priorities? As the Director of Centrifuge Assembly at Centrus Energy, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all centrifuge assembly activities across our advanced manufacturing operations. This role sits at the forefront of restoring America’s domestic uranium enrichment capabilities—guiding multidisciplinary teams, shaping manufacturing strategy, and ensuring flawless execution in a highly regulated, precision-engineering environment.
You will oversee the full lifecycle of centrifuge assembly operations, including workforce planning, production sequencing, assembly quality, test-readiness, and continuous improvement across all assembly lines. As a senior leader, you’ll partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, Nuclear Safety, and Supply Chain to drive performance, accelerate throughput, strengthen configuration control, and uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. Your leadership will ensure that every centrifuge delivered is built to exacting standards, ready for installation, and fully aligned with program milestones.
What You Will Do:
- Provide executive leadership over all centrifuge assembly operations, establishing long-term strategy, performance objectives, and operational priorities.
- Lead and develop Managers, Supervisors, and multidisciplinary technical teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high-quality execution.
- Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet program milestones, delivery targets, and integration timelines with cascade installation teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to nuclear regulatory requirements, quality assurance standards, and configuration control throughout assembly and test preparation processes.
- Drive operational excellence through LEAN manufacturing, workflow optimization, capacity planning, and data-driven performance management.
- Collaborate with Engineering and R&D to incorporate design changes, resolve technical issues, and continuously enhance assembly methods and tooling.
- Partner with Supply Chain to ensure material readiness, vendor performance, and component quality for all assembly operations.
- Lead readiness activities for system testing, integrated testing, and machine installation, ensuring assembled units are delivered fit-for-purpose and on schedule.
- Oversee development and approval of technical procedures, training programs, workforce qualification standards, and operational documentation.
- Manage department budgets, capital needs, and resource planning to support growth, modernization, and program expansion. Serve as a key member of the Operations leadership team, providing strategic insight, cross-functional alignment, and support for broader plant priorities.

We’d Love to Hear from People With:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred)
- 8 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, nuclear, aerospace, or other precision-engineered production environments, including 5 years of leadership experience
- Proven success leading large technical teams and managing complex manufacturing operations or production programs
- Demonstrated expertise in LEAN, Six Sigma, or advanced manufacturing practices
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, safety programs, and quality systems (NRC/DOE environment preferred) Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance

Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
