What You Will Do?
The Administrative Assistant provides vital support to a department by coordinating administrative operations, streamlining communication, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities include preparing and editing reports, memos, and presentations; managing calendars, meetings, and travel logistics; greeting and assisting visitors; and organizing department events. The role also supports document control and records management systems, processes purchase requisitions, monitors supply inventory, and compiles data for reports and budget tracking.
Working under general supervision, the Administrative Assistant exercises independent judgment in managing routine priorities and ensures timely, accurate task execution. While this role does not carry formal decision-making authority, it supports the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of departmental operations—positively impacting team performance, internal coordination, and external engagements.
We’d Love To Hear From People With:
- 3 years of administrative, clerical, or customer service experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” security clearance
A Successful Candidate Brings:
- An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Prior experience supporting engineering, technical, or scientific teams
- Familiarity with Oracle requisition systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Knowledge of records management principles and experience using SharePoint or document control systems Comfort working in classified or regulated environments, such as nuclear or government operations

In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
