We're hiring baristas to join Piccolina da Centrolina, Chef Amy Brandwein's cafe. We love all things Italian, wood-fired and filled with flavor - that includes our coffee. Proudly serving La Colombe Coffee, we're seeking someone that appreciates the perfect way to start or end their day.
Barista
Responsibilities:
Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays. Shifts available 7:30 am-9:30pm Monday-Sunday
Preferred 6 months of experience working with coffee, handling cash and working directly with customers.
Bonus Points:
Experience within a coffee shop or restaurant with an established coffee program.
We are also looking for a candidate who can Bartend for our new spritz menu, ideally this candidate would make both coffee and alcoholic beverages.

The all-day café located across the alley from Brandwein’s Centrolina in CityCenterDC features a menu cooked over wood fire, alongside a variety of freshly baked breads inspired by the chef’s travels through Italy. Counter service invites guests to dine-in or enjoy chef’s dishes to-go. Piccolina is a reflection of Chef Brandwein’s interpretation of Italian cuisine. Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service; ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion
- Prepare hot and cold drinks in accordance with customer needs
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Interact with customers regularly and professionally
- Itemizes and totals purchases
- Collects payments by accepting cash and credit cards, making change for cash customers.
- Provides pricing and product information by answering questions.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Assists in maintenance of store environment
- Maintain accurate department signage & pricing
