Manufacturing Engineering Technician
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician , you’ll play a hands-on role in improving how our products are made. You’ll work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to design, build, install, and improve workstations, fixtures, and equipment. Your work directly supports quality, safety, and productivity across our manufacturing operations and helps us continuously find better ways to do things.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, mechanical work, and collaborating with engineers and production teams.
What You’ll Do
- Support manufacturing and project engineering initiatives
- Design, build, and improve fixtures, tools, workstations, and equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues
- Help install new machines and support new facility setups (on- and off-site as needed)
- Use hand and power tools to perform mechanical fabrication and repair
- Assist with basic engineering research and development (including AutoCAD work)
- Help train other team members on processes, tools, and safety practices
- Participate in engineering and customer meetings as needed
- Follow all safety requirements, including PPE, OSHA standards, and lockout/tagout
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Complete required training and pursue ongoing skill development
- Operate a forklift once certified
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of relevant hands-on mechanical or engineering technician experience
- MIG welding experience
- Ability to safely and effectively use a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in a vocational, mechanical, or engineering-related field
- TIG welding experience
- AutoCAD experience
- CNC machining experience (manual lathe/mill, 3-axis or 5-axis depending on assignment)
- Previous manufacturing or Centro production experience
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands for extended periods
- Work performed in machine shop, welding shop, production, and office environments
- Exposure to manufacturing temperatures ranging from approximately 55–100°F
Schedule
- Regular schedule is 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
- Occasional schedule flexibility may be required based on workload
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
Final pay is based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
