POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing and operational functions to support organizational performance, regulatory compliance, and long-term business objectives. This position provides strategic and operational leadership across production, engineering, quality, facilities, supply chain, and distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Provide leadership and oversight for production, engineering, quality, facilities, supply chain, and distribution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and quality requirements, including FDA, EU, MDSAP, OSHA, and DOL
- Manage operational budgets, capital expenditures, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with executive leadership and Human Resources on organizational planning and leadership development
- Provide regular reporting, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in operations or manufacturing
- Experience in regulated industries required; medical device manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong financial, analytical, and leadership skills
