We are seeking highly skilled Java Engineers to design, build, and scale a modern enterprise platform supporting North American operations. This role focuses on high-throughput, distributed microservices systems powering capabilities such as order management, product catalog, pricing, and promotions at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Java, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and modern AI-enabled engineering practices.

In this role, you will: 

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot 
• Build and optimize high-volume transactional systems 
• Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging platforms 
• Contribute to cloud-native solutions deployed on Azure, AWS, or GCP 
• Collaborate with product, UX, and business teams to deliver customer-centric features 
• Implement resilient, fault-tolerant distributed systems 
• Optimize APIs for low latency and high throughput
• Drive DevOps best practices including CI/CD, observability, and monitoring 
• Integrate AI-driven capabilities such as recommendations, personalization, and intelligent workflows 
• Ensure adherence to security, scalability, and performance best practices 
   

Who You Are: 

• 5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in: 
  • o Java (Java 11/17 )
  • Spring Boot / Spring Cloud ecosystem
  • Microservices architecture
• Experience with: 
  • REST APIs and distributed systems
  • Event-driven systems (Kafka, pub/sub)
  • SQL & NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP
• Experience building highly scalable systems (24x7 production systems)
• Strong understanding of: 
  • Data structures, algorithms, and design patterns 
  • API design and system integration
• AI & Modern Engineering Expectations (Must Have)
  • Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar 
• Ability to: 
  • Leverage AI for code generation, testing, and debugging 
  • Build or integrate AI/ML-driven features (recommendation engines, personalization, forecasting) 
  • Apply prompt engineering and AI-assisted development workflows 
• Exposure to AI-enabled observability or automation is a plus 

Nice to Have
•    Experience with: Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE), Workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Temporal), GraphQL, Reactive programming 
•    Knowledge of eCommerce domains (catalog, pricing, promotions, OMS) 
•    Experience with edge computing or real-time decision engines
