Accounting & Gift Recording Coordinator
The Accounting & Gift Recording Coordinator reports to the Accounting Director and is a primary member of the Finance Team. They will work in conjunction with the Accounting Director to assist with day-to-day financial operations of the Foundation. The position supports financial operations by performing a variety of accounting and gift entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. The position is responsible for maintaining financial reports; accurately entering all gifts into the CRM system, verifies, reconciles and corrects financial data to ensure compliance with policies and applicable accounting standards; serves as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Management
- Review accounting records for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding of income and expenses
- Enter, retrieve and maintain accurate financial information using computerized accounting software system
- Prepares Monthly Company Credit Card Reconciliations
- Process, administer and carryout Accounts Payable and Grants Payable Functions
- Enter gifts received through Stripe and perform monthly reconciliation.
- Code and enter gifts received through cash, stock or other gift types, ensuring receipts are recorded accurately, reconciling accounts for accurate balances
- Assist with Centre Gives gift entry upload process
- Assist with quarterly financial reports including journal entry processing and financial analyses
- Work with Stewardship Coordinator to assure accurate receipts and processing of charitable contributions
- Ensure the integrity of the donor database through accurate analysis, updates and maintenance
- Other General and Administrative duties as assigned
Information Technology
- Maintain exceptional skills in regard to the Foundant information management system.
Position Scope
- Full Time with no Direct Reports
- This position reports to the Accounting Director under direct and frequent supervision
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Accounting required, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
- 3 years plus of relevant experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills are required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Experience with nonprofits preferred
- Experience with nonprofit fund accounting preferred

Pay: $49,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
