Travel will be up to 50%. Schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday from 12-9pm with some flex to 8-5pm for NRSU.

Duties and Requirements:
- Executes work as directed by the Residential Training Coordinator and Residential Shift Supervisor related to patient programs, new hire, and ongoing NRS training.
- Teaches, monitors, administers and documents individual patient programs including ADL's (as outlined on the Needs and Services Plans) and therapeutic home programs in English.
- Charts patient activities and progress on programs that occur during the shift, and relays vital information to supervisor by the end of each work shift. Communicates the events of the shift to the next on-duty NRS. Charting requires fine motor manipulation of writing utensils and/or computer, and written fluency in English.
- Supervises and provides skilled instruction to patients with social, recreational, shopping and entertainment activities out of the Residential and Clinic settings. Follows through with established behavior programs, as well as other aspects of each patient's program relating to community outings, budget, etc. Responsible for the safety and well-being of the patient(s) in his/her charge during community outings.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or G.E.D. required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist. Working knowledge of rehabilitation care is required.
- Successful completion of NRS modules for documentation, practical living skills, Brain Function, Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Employee Handbook, Fall Prevention, Basic Medical, Toilet Training, and Basic Self Care.
- Successful completion of 20 hours of Pro-ACT training
- Successful completion of 16 hours of Behavior Tools training.
- Must successfully demonstrate competency on the following: Professionalism, Grocery Shopping, Transfer Techniques, Thick-It, Medications, Skin Care and Incontinence, ILS, Behavior, Client NET and Cooking.
- Demonstrated ability to safely manage physical loads essential to performance of job.
- Demonstrated fluency in English sufficient to communicate with patients with brain injuries and therapeutic staff in English, and to complete charts and documentation as described herein in English.
- Must attend monthly staff development meetings every month for continuing education after hire.
- Must clock in-and-out every shift.
- Must follow residential dress code.
- Must maintain CPR, First Aid, and Pro-ACT Certifications.
- A.M. and P.M. staff must maintain a good driving record under the California DMV or Texas State Department of Public Safety, and submit verification of driving record, registration and insurance.
- Texas employees are required, as a condition of employment, to utilize direct deposit for payroll. Employees are responsible for establishing an account with a financial institution or pay-card company to accept payroll on a direct deposit basis. Employees are required to provide the CNS payroll department with direct deposit account information.
- Completion of CNS Learn to Earn program preferred.
