Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise fire alarm installation, maintenance, and repair projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to accurately install and troubleshoot fire alarm systems
- Oversee construction inspections to verify proper installation practices for fire sprinkler fitting, low voltage wiring, sensors, and alarm components
- Coordinate with construction teams and clients to ensure seamless integration of fire alarm systems within building infrastructure
- Conduct field service visits for system testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades using hand tools and power tools
- Ensure all work complies with NEC regulations, electrical codes, and safety standards while maintaining detailed documentation of all activities
- Provide technical guidance to team members on CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings, schematics interpretation, and system design improvements
Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a fire alarm technician or related field service role with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, sensors, low voltage wiring, and electrical systems related to fire alarms
- Proficiency in system design principles for fire alarm systems including CAD software familiarity is preferred
- Experience with construction inspection processes for fire sprinkler fitting and mechanical installations
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools and power tools for installation and troubleshooting tasks
- Familiarity with NEC regulations governing low voltage wiring and fire alarm system installations
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams on-site or remotely
