Job Description:
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technical project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex software development or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency in using Jira for project tracking, task management, and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology initiatives within Custody platforms (eg., asset servicing, settlement, corporate actions)
OR
- Demonstrated experience in Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, or Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with risk management, change management, and quality assurance processes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certification (CSM, SAFe Agilist).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Project Planning and Definition:
o Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
o Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts.
o Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path items.
• Project Execution and Monitoring:
o Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, developers, QA, and business analysts.
o Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
o Implement and manage project risk management plans, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
o Ensure adherence to established project management processes, methodologies, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Communication and Management:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
o Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.
o Facilit ate effective communication and collaboration between technical teams, business units, and external vendors.
• Quality Assurance and Delivery:
o Oversee the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet functional and non-functional requirements.
o Facilitate successful deployment and handover to operations, ensuring proper documentation and training.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the organization.
