Job Description
Under the general direction of the CC East Director and the Dean of Library, Testing, Teaching & Learning, eLearning, and CC East, the Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting students, staff, and external agencies by coordinating and facilitating a wide range of program activities. This position serves as a liaison between Centralia College East and departments such as Enrollment Services, the CC Bookstore, Cashiering, the Testing Center, Running Start/Advising, Information Technology, Instruction, Facilities, Operations, & Management (FOM), and Continuing Education.
The Program Coordinator is expected to perform high-quality work using specialized knowledge and experience specific to Centralia College East programs and services. The role requires familiarity with multiple areas, including Enrollment Services, Continuing Education, and Cashiering.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Support - Centralia College East
- Provide front desk assistance to students, faculty, staff, and the public; resolve problems and respond to inquiries.
- Support the Director and Dean in student recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Assist and support faculty as needed.
- Recruit, screen, hire, train, schedule, and oversee student workers; assign appropriate tasks.
- Schedule advising and other appointments for students and faculty.
- Process tuition and sales payments; post payments in ctcLink and make bank deposits.
- Collect quarterly faculty schedules and syllabi, review for completeness and upload to SharePoint.
- Provide basic IT troubleshooting in coordination with the IT Department.
- Manage the checkout and record-keeping for CC East student-use laptops.
- Serve as the Safety Committee lead for CC East.
- Participate in the CC East Advisory Committee.
- Collaborate with the Foundation and community partners on events and programs throughout the academic year.
- Perform related duties as needed, including opening and closing the facility.
- Support the annual summer musical production in collaboration with the Fire Mountain Arts Council and the Roxy Theater.
Student Support Services
- Assist students with online applications, email setup, and ctcLink activation.
- Process registrations and schedule changes in ctcLink.
- Register continuing education students using CampusCE.
- Connect students with services on the main campus, including Blazer Central, Library, Financial Aid, and others.
Testing Facilitation
- Ensure necessary technology and proctoring protocols are in place for online testing (CASAS, Accuplacer, WAMAP, GED).
- Schedule and proctor placement, GED, and other institutional exams.
- Administer, score, and process assessment tests.
- Monitor test setup and ensure adherence to proctoring standards.
- Maintain strict student confidentiality and a solid understanding of college policies and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the Testing Center and Transitional Studies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in a program support role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong customer service experience and skills.
- Effective communication skills across diverse contexts; strong active listening ability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Conditions of Employment
This is a 40 hours per week, 12-month position. Classified employees are represented by the Washington State Federation of State Employees (WFSE). The state of Washington provides a comprehensive benefits package for state employees.

COMPENSATION
Monthly Salary: Range 41 ($3,665 - $4,771)
