CentralCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (Pediatric RN) to provide full-time services at the 61st Medical Squadron located at Los Angeles Air Force Base. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse to support our military members and their families as a federal civilian contractor.
Position Details:
- Pay: $55.00/hour $4.93/hour for health and wellness
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Sick Leave
- Schedule: Full-Time | Monday ? Friday | 0700?1600
- Contract Length: 1 Year Preferred (with opportunity to extend)
Pediatric Registered Nurse (Pediatric RN) Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pediatric nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Coordinate patient care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all standards of care, policies, and procedures within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Conduct physical exams and health histories for pediatric patients.
- Provide health promotion, counseling, and education tailored to pediatric needs.
- Triage and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions per established guidelines.
- Administer medications, wound care, and other pediatric-specific interventions.
- Prepare and administer vaccinations for pediatric patients according to MTF protocols.
- Supervise and direct care provided by other healthcare professionals.
- Assign patient care based on scope of practice and skill level.
- Recognize and respond promptly to adverse signs and emergency situations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Pediatric Registered Nurse Qualifications:
- BSN Degree required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Active, unrestricted nursing license
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
